Welcome to the 2017 - 2018 School Year at Crofton Elementary School

My name is Lori Dexter and it is a privilege to serve as the principal at Crofton Elementary School.  We are working each day to help students become independent, successful learners and are very proud of our students' accomplishments.

I attended Crofton Elementary myself, in K-6th grades, with Mr. John Pyle as my principal.  My father and grandfather both drove buses at Crofton for many years.  Crofton is my home.  After graduating from CCHS, I earned my BA in Mathematics and MA in Administration from Austin Peay State University.  I later earned my Rank I from the Murray State University campus in Hopkinsville through the Christian County Leadership Cohort.  I started my teaching career in 2000, at Christian County High School where I taught math.  Later, I taught middle school math at Christian County Middle School before taking a job as a Curriculum Specialist.  I am starting my eighteenth year in education.  I have been married 18 years to my husband, Terry.  We have two children, a 14 year old daughter, Reese, who attends CCMS and a 3 year old son, Eli. 

The staff at Crofton Elementary has overwhelmingly welcomed me, and I am convinced that they are the hardest working, best staff a principal could ask for.  Our staff is focused on meeting students' academic and behavioral needs so they can gain as much growth as possible each year.  Please take the time to see for yourself what a great place Crofton is to live, work, and learn!!!
